How we protect your information
The connection to WHO stays on the server. Your documents stay with you.
What happens to your documents
Photos and PDFs are read in your browser. They are not uploaded. After identifiers are masked, only the clinical terms are sent on, so a code can be found.
Secure connection to WHO ICD-11
- The page asks this app’s server to search. The server requests a short-lived token from WHO and does not send that token back to the browser.
- WHO credentials stay on the server. They are not written into the pages, reports or messages you see.
- The release in use is 2026-01, or 2025-01 if the newer release does not answer.
- Each visitor can make about 60 WHO requests a minute. A limited request answers with HTTP 429 and asks you to wait.
- A successful lookup can stay in server memory for about ten minutes so the same term is not requested twice. A new server starts with an empty memory. Documents are not kept there.
Your control
Clear my data, on the home page, Snap & Code and the privacy page, removes the reviews saved in this browser. Closing the tab also drops a document that was only open there.
